Hey! My name is Jesse Larsen. I grew up in northern Utah, but I’m currently in the South as a concept artist for The Army Game Studio in Huntsville, Alabama. I am also the art director for a small indie studio called Redstone Interactive. When I’m not working, I love listening to audiobooks while exercising, wrestling with my four insanely energetic kids, experiencing an epic game of D&D with my buddies, or savoring Blue Bell ice cream with my wife while watching our latest show.
Art and story has always been a passion of mine. I started drawing before I could spell my name and my parents often comment on how they couldn’t get me to stop making up funny stories about a lizard eating the sun. When I was 7, my grandma gave me a Spider-Man comic book signed by Stan Lee and I was immediately hooked. I found myself in trouble at school a lot because I only wanted to make my own comic books and not do my homework. I eventually found my way in school, but I never gave up on being an artist. I pursued my passion of art and story for a career in video games. I received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Animation from Brigham Young University in 2007.
I am an extremely versatile artist skilled in both 2D concept art and illustration and 3D production art with a focus on characters and props. With my current team I am often called on to fill the missing needs on their teams and I pride myself on delivering on any task thrown my way.
I’m always open to new exciting opportunities! Feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
